How to Prepare for a Junk Removal Pickup in Jacksonville

A little prep before we arrive can make your pickup faster, and in some cases, save you money since less time on-site often means a smoother job. Here's what helps most.

1. Group everything in one place

If possible, gather what you want removed into a single area — a driveway, garage, or room. The less time our crew spends walking through the house searching for items, the faster the job goes.

2. Know roughly how much you have

You don't need to be exact, but having a rough sense of volume (a few items vs. a packed garage) helps us give you a more accurate phone estimate before we even arrive.

3. Clear a path

Make sure hallways, doorways, and the path to the driveway or curb are clear of obstacles. This is especially helpful for larger furniture or appliances that need to come out in one piece.

4. Flag anything that needs a separate quote

Hazardous materials, tires, and batteries require special handling and get quoted separately — just let us know ahead of time so we can price it right. Medical and biohazard waste is the one thing we can't take at all (see our FAQ page for details).

5. Have your price confirmed before we start

We always confirm the final price with you in person before loading anything. If anything changed since your phone estimate (more items than expected, heavier materials), this is the time to flag it.

6. Decide if you need to be present

For curbside or garage pickups where everything is accessible and pricing is agreed upon, you often don't need to be home. For inside-the-home jobs, we'll schedule a time that works for you.
